"He has uncovered one of the secrets of the universe"
Louis de Broglie has discovered the "wave nature" of electrons. He introduced his theory of particle-wave duality in 1924. "Wave and particle interpretations of light and matter were seen as being at odds with one another, but de Broglie suggested that these seemingly different characteristics were instead the same behavior observed from different perspectives — that particles can behave like waves, and waves (radiation) can behave like particles." His theory was introduced to fellow scientist, Albert Einstein, Einstein reported that, "He [Broglie] had unraveled on of the secrets of the universe." The theory helped explain how atoms, molecules and protons behave by themselves and with each other.
